What Obams says ...

... nobody would be happier than me to stay out of (the market)

"Well, I just think it’s clear by the time we got here, there already had been an enormous infusion of taxpayer money into the financial system. And the thing I constantly try to emphasize to people if that coming in, the market was doing fine, nobody would be happier than me to stay out of it. I have more than enough to do without having to worry the financial system. The fact that we’ve had to take these extraordinary measures and intervene is not an indication of my ideological preference, but an indication of the degree to which lax regulation and extravagant risk taking has precipitated a crisis."

Anyone care to bet Obama won't remain happy "to stay out of it"?

Obama beats early retreat on promise to fight pork

WASHINGTON (AP) — Despite campaign promises to take a machete to lawmakers' pet projects, President Barack Obama is quietly caving to funding nearly 8,000 of them this year, drawing a stern rebuke Monday from his Republican challenger in last fall's election.

"So much for the promise of change," McCain said in the first of many assaults he is likely to make against pork-barrel spending this year.

White House Budget Director Peter Orsazg said Sunday that the new administration wants to "move on ... get this bill done, get it into law and move forward."

Obama is hardly the first president to promise to make Congress change its pork-barreling ways, and he certainly won't be the last. But he is the first to retreat so quickly, after only six weeks in the White House.

I wonder ... how many more campaign promises Obama
will break before the American People wake up ?

At least some people are geting it ...

This is funny ...

In one of those silly online polls, people were asked:

----------------------------

It's been a long week and you've decided to have a date night. Who would you pick to babysit your kids?

And the winner is ....

  1. 91.06% Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee
  2. 1.02% Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani
  3. 0.23% Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
  4. 7.69% President Barack Obama

----------------------------

Hee Hee Hee ... 92% of the American People wouldn't trust Obama, even for a few hours, with their kids!

-----

What I can't understand is why they would trust him spending trillions upon trillions
of their future ...

Snow blankets most of Alabama in winter storm

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A rare March snow blanketed much of Alabama and winter storm warnings are in effect along the East Coast.

Scott Unger of the National Weather Service office in Birmingham says a winter storm warning for Alabama is in effect until 3 p.m. Sunday mostly for several northern and eastern counties — with much of the rest of the state under a winter storm advisory.

Unger says snow accumulations could reach up to five inches in some areas of Alabama.

The weather service says winter storm warnings are in effect from northern Georgia and the Carolinas through the Mid-Atlantic states into New England. Forecasters warn that eight to 14 inches of snow is possible in the Philadelphia area.

Nor'easter could dump more than 6 inches of snow on Boston

A nor'easter headed up the coast is expected to drop six or more inches of snow by Monday morning on most of southern New England, starting Sunday evening, forecasters said.

After a brief spell of milder weather, Old Man Winter is making a comeback. Boston is expected to see 6.6 inches of snow by 7 p.m. Monday. Some areas in the interior could get as much as a foot, according to the National Weather Service.
